TradeBasis is a B2B SaaS application for Canadian franchised and independent dealerships. It provides accurate, trim-aware vehicle valuations by pulling live Canadian dealer listings as the primary comp set — not US guide books translated through an FX rate. ## Product overview

TradeBasis has two tiers:

- **Lite ($99 CAD/month, 1 user):** Quick Appraisal — VIN-first instant market valuations using live Canadian dealer listings, NHTSA/vPIC decode, provincial cascading radius search, mileage and velocity adjustments.
- **Pro ($499 CAD/month, up to 10 users):** Full access — appraisal worksheet, custom comp exclusions, inventory management, re-pricing, reconditioning tracking, printable client reports, Workbench KPI dashboard, Acquisition Workstation (Locator).

Month-to-month, no contracts. All data included at every tier — no per-data-source charges.

## Key differentiators

- **Canadian-first data:** Live Canadian dealer listings (not Manheim, NADA, KBB, or Black Book) as the primary comp set. Provincial-first cascading radius: province → 100 mi → national → adjacent model years.
- **Trim-aware matching:** Proprietary trim classifier separates trim levels (e.g. XSE vs XSE Premium, AWD variants) to prevent grade-mixing in comp sets.
- **Transparent comp sets:** Every comparable listing is a clickable row. Appraisers can exclude individual outliers and watch the valuation recalculate live.
- **Logarithmic mileage adjustment:** Tuned for Canadian market; a 200k-km vehicle is not penalized the same per-km rate as a 60k-km vehicle.
- **Velocity penalty:** Automatic four-band Days-on-Market adjustment (0% / 2% / 5% / 10%) applied server-side.
- **CAD billing:** All pricing in Canadian dollars. No currency translation at the desk.
